C-LINK FrontEnd is a "shell" from which all CAD interfaces are executed.

The CAD interfaces convert your PCB files from their CAD-specific format to the standard DIF, which is used by the entire C-LINK family of products.

Moreover, C-LINK FrontEnd is not limited to specific interfaces - new interfaces are continually added as new CAD tools are introduced to the market.

There are two key sources of information required to begin production of every printed circuit board assembly (PCBA). First, the CAD data reflects the complete board geometry; and second, the Bill of Materials (BOM) provides the part numbers and revision level of every component on the board.

With this information, C-LINK FrontEnd can quickly move a new PCBA design into production.

To simplify the process further, C-LINK FrontEnd also includes a BOM Converter, an easy to use wizard that helps the user to import the BOM information into the C-LINK database.

The BOM Converter wizard enables the user to create filters that read different BOM file formats, extract all relevant information and transfer it into the database.

There is also the option of manipulating this data to generate several other outputs including text files with user-defined formats.

The BOM converter is especially valuable for contract manufacturers who are continuously working with many different BOM formats.

Custom Interfaces: Besides the vast number of available interfaces for almost all available CAD systems or standard formats on the market, Digitaltest can quickly generate any customized CAD interfaces to meet the needs of our customers.
